Miz Exploring Kyoto : Morning of Yasaka Shrine & Gion-no-Tsuki

Yasaka Shrine is located at the east of Kyoto, the main shrine in Gion/祇園. Before it called „Yasaka Shrine“, it was „Gion Shrine“(Gion-Sha/祇園社). Yasaka Shrine is the head shrine in Japan which make Susanoo/スサノオ as the god of shrine. Normally, shrines are closed around evening, but Yasaka Shrine is open at midnight.

(because of „Gion“ ?) Shi-jo Dori(Shi-jo street/四条通) , which is the shopping street ,faces. Always I can see people visit Yasaka Shrine! From the bus stop and station, it is very convenient to go to here.
